7 THINGS TO PRACTICE FROM PHIL 4:9-19

The Apostle Paul, having ministered the gospel to the Philippians for some time, observed their ways of life and wrote a letter to encourage the church as he left them to continue the work of God. In his letter, he encouraged them to put seven things into practice in their Christian journey in order to obtain the peace of God and for the church to grow and glow.

1.      Put to practice what you have seen, heard, learned and received – (Phil 4:9). It is not enough to hear about the mighty works of Christ through Pastors, Evangelists, Prophets and other Preachers; it is not enough to see miracles and testimonies, it is not enough to learn from the teachings; you have to receive them and put them into practice.

2.      Keep On With Your Generosity: In verse 10,15 &16, Paul expressed his heartfelt appreciation about the generosity of the Philippians who assisted him and gave freely even when he left them and was ministering at Macedonia and Thessalonica. This act also, he encouraged them to put into practice.

3.      Be Content (Verse 11-13): One critical point Paul stressed was learning to be content whether in need or in abundance, whether in good times or bad times. You must learn to be content and put your faith in God regardless of the situations we find ourselves. Situations may change but God’s plan doesn’t change.

4.      Total Reliance on God (verse 13): Just as Paul totally relied on God and did amazing works, so did he encourage the Philippians to totally rely on God. He said: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”. By strength can we prevail in our Christian journey. Put these things into practice and you see the glory of God in your life.

5.      Care and share in one another’s troubles (verse 14-15). The Philippians, a nursery church by then, was the only church that continually and willingly shared and assisted Paul when he left them and ministered in Macedonia and as far as Thessalonica. Gal 6:9 stresses that we should not be weary in doing good to people especially our Christian brothers and sisters. Put these things into Practice. Life gets better when we live for others and have their welfare at heart.

6.      Your offering goes to your personal account (Verse 17-19): Paul stressed that all the generosities of the church, their sacrifices, and offerings are not meant for the benefit of pastors but what will be credited in their personal accounts. Any time you want to sign a check through prayer and cash some blessings from Heaven, first pause and check how much you have invested. Beloved, your account must not show the red. Put to practice, the act of giving to support people.

7.      God of peace will be with you (Verse 9): Beloved, you have heard a lot, learned a lot, seen many wonders and miracles and seen a lot more, but Paul said, put them into practice and the God of peace will be with you.

I pray that the God of peace will be with you as you continually put to practice all that you have learned, heard, seen and received. You must put these seven things into practice and you will grow from level of faith and maturity to another.

WARNING! CONTAGIOUS BLESSINGS

“Isaac planted crops in that same year and reaped a hundredfold, because the Lord has blessed him. The man became rich, and his wealth continued to grow until he became very wealthy”. Gen. 26:12-13

God promised Abraham and his descendants of a generational blessing. He promised to bless those who would bless him and curse those would curse him. Amazingly, the lives of friends, servants and even slaves under these blessed people became a blessing.

Anything that is contagious must be separated from public areas to prevent its transmission. But I tell you the truth, some people operate in the command blessings of God and they carry the power to transmit their blessings to the people around them. Abraham and Isaac singlehandedly fed thousands of servants, slaves and their animals. These people in turn also became a great blessing to their families.

Man, just a quick lesson here.
1  .    Walking with the blessed will definitely affect your life for you to be blessed and the opposite is true.
2  .    Poverty and blessings are like contagious diseases, they can be transmitted to other people.
3   .    If your master or leader is blessed, then you can be assured of being blessed.
4   .    The life of those ahead of you can be an indication of your future but I tell you the truth, your personal covenant with God will make the difference in succeeding.

Character, spirits, blessings and curses are contagious. By merely associating yourself with some people, you can indirectly share in your fortunes or misfortunes. Choose the people you walk with carefully because they can cause you to progress, stagnate or retrogress in life

NIGHT PRAYER AND DECLARATION

I declare in the name of Jesus that you shall wake up with a new vision and direction for the year 2014.
I declare in the name of Jesus that your mess for the day will turn into a message tomorrow.
May God grant and spill over you just one original idea to impact and transform generations.
By virtue of being a son of God, i pray that you will not miss your portion of the blessings of a son.
I command the Angels of God to keep watch over

And now, i thwart every sickness, accidents, misfortunes, death, disappointments, setbacks, failures, loses and every bitter experience that has been carefully calculated and fashioned against you  in Jesus' name.
I declare that the Angels of God will keep watch over you in this year in peace and not in pieces.

May every life headache be rolled away in the name of Jesus.
May every reproach be rolled away in the name of Jesus.
I declare that your disgrace in the year 2013 will turn into abundance grace in the year 2014.
Every test will turn into a living testimony.

May the Lord reveal Himself to you this day to have a personal encounter with Him.
In Jesus name i pray, Amen!

WHEN PROPHECIES BECOME MEANINGLESS

Prophecies and Divine Revelations in the year 2014 will become meaningless without the right choices of action and prayer. I believe in prophecies but there are procedures to carefully follow for the prophecies to be fulfilled. Many a time, some people fast and pray and received prophetic messages and divine revelations about a spectacular event yet to happen in the future. Many get carried away by the wonderful contents of the prophetic messages.
There is more to merely receiving a prophetic message. Any time there was a prophetic message or revelation in the Bible, there would always be a direction for its fulfillment. Without clear-cut directions for action, mistakes and unfulfilled prophecies become frustration. Here are a few questions to ask to assist you to see your prophecies become realized.

1.     Is it a command, information, warning or a promised?
2.     What are the roles specified for me in the prophecy?
3.     What other things can I do for this to be fulfilled?
4.     What are the things that I should avoid?
5.     What are the consequences if the prophecy is not fulfilled?

As you ponder on many and more of these questions, pray and then take actions, you will be getting closer to your fulfillment. Man, you've got to do something as the sun shines and you have the strength to do so...

YOU ARE NOT TOO OLD TO KNOW GOD

Enoch knew God at the age of 65 and walked with Him for 600 years (Gen. 5:21-22). It therefore presupposed that 65 of the years that Enoch spent on earth was wasted without God.

Today, many of us have led our lives in so many ways and wasted the precious moments of our lives. The Bible said we should remember our creator in our youthful days. Currently, 65 years is a retiring age in almost every part of the world.

The good news is that, it is not too late to accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour at your old age. Wasted years could be turned into watered years in the presence of God.

Nobody is too young to serve God and neither is another too old to know God. There is hope for anyone today, tomorrow and forever if only we carry our hopeless lives to Jesus for transformation.

7 Simple Things to Releasing Your Blessings in the Year 2014

Some of the great blessings that God has promised us are pinned to simple obedience to His word. Others come through righteousness, your works and by virtue of simply being a child of God. It is not only serious fasting and prayers that releases some blessings, mere knowledge of the some of the promises of God can release you into your blessings.

Fasting and prayers are very good but that alone cannot release the blessings of God in the year 2014. There is power in the under listed ways to release the blessings of God in your life. As we go through the year 2014, let's strive to observe these for  breakthroughs:

Holy Spirit, The Best Communication Network

In every part of the world, we have so many communication networks. A few of them are good while the rest offer headaches and disappointments instead of rendering services despite the exorbitant charges they slap the users with. Worst of all, users are left utterly dismayed and disappointment in times of emergency and important issues. There, the poor services fail us.

As Christians, we have only one network; the Holy Spirit. He is always in a coverage area no matter how obscure your settlement may be. With Him, you never run out of credit before talking to God. Talking to God does not demand smart phones, Sim cards, charger, scratch card, housing, battery or any other accessories. The only condition is stay connected and be active by giving your life to Jesus and remaining in Him.

Have you ever called someone where the phone rang several times but without a response? The situation is even more disheartening when it is a time of emergency. Man can fail to answer your call because he is asleep, for no reason or too busy. Telecommunication machines do fail us everyday but there is just one person who is ever ready to answer your call and listen to you. “Call to me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know” Jeremiah 33:3
